FreeqS is a frequency shifter with a second, musical path when you need intervals that stay in pitch. Classic Bode-style shift for the sound known from classic frequency shifting; Pitchshifters mode when you want real semitone moves. Built for DJs, producers, and anyone who dabbles in frequencies.
Detect the key of what you hear, park a system note, aim Set Key, nudge fine cents, and move. Confidence keys show the runners-up when the material is messy. Material modes for single tones or busy loops. Lean GUI, permanent insert energy – same family as the rest of EarthGuest Audio.
Custom Mode maps the shift control to the range you care about – full open when you want everything, or a tight window around the area you’re hunting – so the knob always feels full-scale and useful, whether you’re working a narrow +/- few Hz or a wide performance throw. Perfect for all ranges, and a blast
with hardware: MIDI learn a controller or mixer knob, spin FreeqS like a dedicated tool, freeze a layout for the gig, and ride it as hard as the set needs without fighting a full +/-5 kHz sweep for a three-semitone move.
Optional Pitchshifters mode (~120 ms latency) when quality musical transpose matters more than near zero-delay. Toggle off and you’re back on the classic low-latency Bode path. Soft fade when switching modes so you don’t click the world in half.
MotionRec adds internal automation timelines – record, play, and ride FreeqS’s main controls as session motion, export/import as .more, without depending on host automation lanes for every knob.
Primarily designed for live use, stems, DJ setups, and creative harmonic moves in the DAW. Controllers welcome. MIDI can drive Set-to-Key. CPU stays polite.

What’s the point?
Most tools either key lock or frequency shift and expect you to juggle the math. FreeqS does both- and it also detects audio keys =)
> Detect, aim, shift – in Hz land or Pitch-ville – then MotionRec the move if you want it to repeat. Fast enough for a live set. Precise enough for a mix.
